Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival

Sculpture in the Vineyards, Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival is in its 18th year and is one of the oldest and largest sculpture festivals in rural NSW.
Held over 16 days, from Saturday 17th October to Sunday 1st November 2020, this not-for-profit outdoor and indoor exhibition gives local, regional, interstate and international sculptors an opportunity to exhibit their works in the beautiful wineries and rural surroundings of the historic hamlet of Laguna and the Wollombi Village.
Local event volunteer organisers require funds to assist in the delivery and placement of sculptures.
Artists, in general, have faced tough times over the past COVID19 period and have indicated to organisers that for many artists it would be a struggle to meet financial outlays involved in delivering sculptures to our local vineyards and surrounds. Without financial support, many artists could not afford to take part in Sculptures in the Vineyards.
WVPA could assist financially by financing the delivery and placement of sculptures to ensure that more sculptors could play a part in this year’s exhibition.
Given the unusual conditions, we have all experienced this year, including the limitations placed on so many community events, Sculpture in the Vineyards offers possibilities for WVPA to “foster the artistic, cultural and business interests of the Wollombi Valley”.
